Advances in Research at Telecom Business School

Research at Telecom Business School is an integral part of research at Institut Telecom managed by both a scientific director and a research board. The board is guided by a scientific council, which ensures a research strategy, organization and valuation process.
Research at Institut Telecom is essentially aimed at developing information and telecommunication, within the information society, as far as science and technology, management sciences and humanities are concerned. It is exploratory and precompetitive, guided by industrial applications and innovations. It aims at producing and spreading knowledge and technologies and contributing to quality programs for both engineer and management students.
In 2008, among the 49 Telecom Business School permanent faculty members, 39 had a Ph.D. and 13 a French diploma to direct doctoral students (HDR). There were 31 Ph.D. students and over 200 scientific publications.
Research is organized in 4 teaching and research departments:

DEFI Department: Law, Economics, Finance and Sociology;
DSI Department: Information Systems;
LSH Department: Foreign Languages and Humanities;
MMS Department: Marketing, Management and Strategy;

And a laboratory:

(Research Center in Management and ICT), which is a cross-disciplinary research unit.

Concerning doctoral programs, Telecom Business School collaborates with several other universities

It organizes courses and seminars for Ph.D. students to assist them in achieving a scientific presentation, writing a scientific article, describing qualitative and quantitative methods…
